This was one of the first industrial design tools I used to make sure a product we were developing considered as many variables or problems a customer might have while participating in an activity. I used my own experience with our dog Otis on a camping trip. Mapping an activity from start to finish is both a great way to brainstorm and come up with new features and product solutions.
